This week, students were introduced to the role the UN plays in our world. We then looked further into the sustainable goals. We will continue to take a closer look at some of these goals next week.

We continued to use the Design Thinking model as a lens for The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. This is a story of how one child's vision can positively impact a nation.

Students have been solving and creating word problems based on division and multiplication. Through the building process, they will apply measurement and 3D shape skills to solve problems.

We have begun writing the endings to our Peruvian fairytales. Our next steps will be typing them up on the computers and beginning the editing process.

A pink form went home for students who would like to participate in the pink shirt day design competition. During that day we will be participating in lessons and activities that promote kindness and acceptance. 

Students who would like to give cards to their classmates for Valentine's Day will have the opportunity to do so on Wednesday, Feb 12th. Please do not bring in food items to share and be sure to include all students in the class. A list will go home with interested students on Monday.
